Is there a way to leave for boot camp earlier than the date you signed for (and still keep your rate)?

I'm not sure how common it is, but my recruiter asked a few weeks back if I wanted to ship out early (less than 30 days from him asking) - I still had 4 months left prior to my set ship date. I turned him down, but it looks like I would've shipped early with the same rating.

I could be mistaken seeing as I'm only a DEP member, but I do not believe IT does ethical hacking.

Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN) is the rating that can obtain that certification.
