If you passed the PST in DEP, you wouldn't be an HM anymore, that slot would go to someone else. So if you failed out you'd get whatever they could find.

However, if you already have a job and then attempt to cross-rate but fail that's different. I don't know if this is the case all of time - but I know a PO at my A school attempting to cross-rate and I'm pretty sure he said he can't go back if he fails out here, he'll be out of the Navy.

Wow. I want to take the PST and go through it. That's a risk though. I need to really think about it.
