The general day-to-day framework of RTC isn't going to change much... still the same length, still the same evolutions and classes that need to be completed... and still the same in-processing during P-Days. What changes are the little things: you may wear tennis shoes longer with your NWU's... you may get issued an iPad... female's may not have to get their hair cut.

What's going to vary the most is how each individual RDC chooses to run their division... there are training objectives that have to be met, and external pressure from Admin... but it's generally up the the RDC how the Division is run. That's why you'll hear a lot of "it depends" answers. Phone calls? IT? Yelling? Leadership positions and promotion? It's all largely up to your RDC... some don't give phone calls except for the "I'm here" and "I'm a Sailor now" calls... some don't IT much... some don't promote people... it all just depends.

One of the divisions in my training group NEVER got IT. Their RDCs didn't believe in it. Needless to say, all of our jaws dropped...

Haasino 07-03-2015 01:37 PM

We never did Divisional ITE... I went through shortly after the water hazing scandal, so there were all kinds of regulations in place for ITE... Admin had to be notified in writing, other division's RDC's had to be present, which meant it had to be done around their schedule as well... as my RDC's put it, it's punishing a dog 3 days after it's pissed on the rug.

Wow that's ridiculous. We did one OFFICIAL ITE session which included announcing it over the 1MC, placing a sign on the door, stuff like that. IT was on our first day of fit for full lol

The rest of the times we had shady ITE sessions. Same thing as ITE but using some sort of loophole in the system

Ill just go in expecting my RDC to be hungry LoL - Best behavior :yourhonor:

Thank you so much for this excellent thread! My husband is on his 6th day of bootcamp. Today is his first Sunday is he probably having a easier day today? If he needed his wisdom teeth pulled when is that done?

I do not know this before.

Weeks in BC

I have a question that I am sure I am going to feel stupid about once I get a reply but here it goes.

The "weeks" in Boot Camp are 5 day weeks as opposed to a normal 7 day week. If my SR was on Week 2 Day 1 on 2/19 then on 2/26 he would be on Week 3 Day 1, correct because even though 2/19 was a Friday they don't count Sat and Sun as "training days", right?

Days in bootcamp are actually kind of complex. You don't necessarily move days until you accomplish whatever was supposed to be done that day - we were P-4 for 3 or 4 days waiting for Medical to have space for us to get our shots. But once you finish P-days things are a little more regular.

Saturdays and Sundays are accounted for as "#SAT" and "#SUN" if I recall correctly. Generally "Day 1" will start on a Monday, but holidays can throw things off. I was in bootcamp for Christmas and New Years' and both were weekdays, so with the breaks included our weeks started looking like
M T W T F S S
4-4 4-5 5-1 5-2 5-3 5SAT 5SUN
5-4 5-5 6-1 6-2 6-3 6SAT 6SUN

That is not a simple question and I have not a firm answer on it, but here I believe you can find more information on any theme you want, including studying http://livecustomwriting.com/blog/ti...to-beat-stress

Probably in general the first week when you're adjusting to a new routine on minimal sleep.

After that it depends on your individual strengths.

I don't see any reason why he would. It doesn't go against any rules that I'm aware of. The worst that could happen would be him getting it taken away and maybe doing some pushups or something.

walla125 02-17-2017 07:57 AM

He will be fine, don't worry. No rules broken.

Cris2369 02-17-2017 01:42 PM

Thank you so so much for this and for taking the time to reply. I feel much better knowing that I won't have to wait another week until I hear back from him and how much trouble I got him in for that. Thank you!!!
