Default Push Divisions

How often are there Push Divisions in RTC? How or when does one get notified that he/she is in a push division?

Almost every division that (really whole training groups) that graduate in December and January are push divisions....my RDCs pulled up a power point and he was telling us how the training groups graduating in later part of February would be he first divisions in a few months to have a normal schedule--and that probably lasts until the whole of summer.

You won't really be notified or anything before boot camp but you can pretty much guess if you are or not--if your boot camp ship out and graduation dates don't add up to 2 months or if they do and you are in P-days longer than week, then you are a push division most likely.

When someone asked our Chief if we were a push division, every one of our RDCs rolled their eyes and informed us that a "push" is just what an RDC calls their division. There's no such thing as a division that gets slammed through faster than usual. If you spend more or less time there, it's because you're either early or late in your training group, which all graduates together.

(Don't get on my case if you were told something different. This is just what I heard personally.)
