Default wisdom teeth removal

so i read that you get your wisdom teeth removed in the first week. i wanna know do the completely "knock you out" or do they keep you awake and just numb the area.

Remember that not everyone gets their wisdom teeth removed. But apparently they give you a local anesthesia if they are taken out.

From what I've learned over time, there's three routes to go. 1. You don't need them removed, 2. You get them removed with local anesthesia, or 3. It's pretty bad and you get knocked out.

I'm confused ... I thought that local anesthesia did knock you out....

With the local, you are still awake throughout the entire thing, and it just "doesn't hurt" There was one girl in our division who had to be put under, so she wasn't even awake.

It's not bad if they don't. It doesn't burn, but you can feel a lot of pressure pushing and pulling on your jaw. Honestly, the worst part is the sound.....

It's really not bad at all. Like Guppy said you feel the pressure on your jaw, hear the sounds, and if they do a bit of drilling the smell isn't pleasant. After a few days of recovery you're as good as new. Dont worry about it, really. Thinking about it will make it seem worse than it really is. Plus, you may not even have your teeth removed.

yeah, between the apparent lack of sleep and just the culture shock I could only imagine how mentally challenging it will be!

Don't worry about wisdoms, either you are awake and don't feel anything, or you get knocked out.

Bootcamp is just hard mentally. The first week stinks becuase you don't know what to do, and see everyone else marching outside with flags in NWU's and you can't wait to be them and get out of your smurfs while standing in line waiting to eat chow.

The worst week is probably week 3 ( mentally ) at least...because you have been in actual boot camp for 2 weeks, and you are just getting broken down every day mentally by your RDC's. After hell week, week 4, it starts to move quicker.

When you are done week 5 and moving into 6, it goes by real quick.

Why is week 4 called hell week?

Week 4 = Hell Week for a couple reasons.

The worst being you are up really freakin' early every day, like 3AM to be ready for 4am to march off and start your day. Your at the fire range, a chance for a ribbon so don't screw up! You have your PFA for your Olympic Flag, you have your Drill Inspection and if you pass you can march off as a division to your classes/haircuts etc...DON'T FAIL!! We failed this by .4 points and our RDC's made us stand at parade rest for 3 hours a day for 3 straight days...get back from a class..Parade rest! Get back from chow...parade rest! Every 15 minutes our RPOC was allowed to bring us back to attention for a drink of water, then back to parade rest..it was brutal so don't fail lol.

You also have your zone inspection this week. At this point your supposed to know everything in boot camp..what not to do, how to march, how to fold, how to do this, so if you screw up there is a lot of IT that goes on. Its a challenging week mentally, if you screw up like miss flags it will be a challenging week physically too.

Well I guess it's appropriately named hell week for a reason.
