Wrist watch at RTC
Are there any sailors who recently processed through bootcamp and had any experience with acceptance of wrist watches? I know according to the Navy official site--
http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/what_to_bring.asp -- it's OK to bring a wrist watch, but I've also heard from past sailors that it's up to your RDCs. So all in all I'm taking the "official site" with a grain of salt. Also, IF my RDCs are okay with our division having watches what size would be recommended or suitable for training? I feel like my black G-Shock is a little big or gaudy for RTC. Any recommendations or advice is more than appreciated. |

My understanding is that you can have it, yes, but normally only those in recruit leadership positions can wear them.

If you think it might be too gaudy, it probably is. You can bring it anyway and stow it in your personal drawer, if you want to use it as an alarm clock in the morning or something.

You can only have a watch if you're in a leadership position. And if you are, you will buy one at the NEX. As for size, don't get anything too big or bulky.
