Separation?
My son left for BC on 12/6, and called tonight (12/21/18) saying he was coming home. Something about his legal issues coming back up - does that make any sense?
He got an MIP (minor in possession) last January and was on probation when he enlisted. We went to court to have it dismissed because he was going into the Navy, but he had to go back to submit proof he was enlisting. He did that and we thought everything was fine. He had ranked up to E3 and was responsible for 80 recruits and was going to be doing something with a sword at graduation. He is completely devastated. They said he could reenlist in 6 months. Will they actually take him back? I've seen a number of places where it isn't likely once you've been separated. Any insight? Can he appeal? Should he? Thanks for any insight. |
