That's excellent.

Beleive it or not, you just donated a portion of your purchase to maintain this website (NavyDEP). PIRGifts is actually helping me maintain this website by donating a small portion of their profit, which I am so happy!
I thank you for that!

Craig

I just ordered one for my husband. He's been in almost 2 years now - I joined this site because I'm hoping to join the reserves. I stumbled on this post and am so excited to get him this coin! I started a collection for him marking all the mile stones in his career (rank E1-E4, FC a school, sub school, one for each command hes been to, and soon one for IT a school.) this will make a great addition!!

Most sailors love the challenge coins. I know I do. I have one from every command I was stationed... This is why I am helping PIRGifts with the boot camp ones. I know sailors will like them....

Cool

My USS JFK Ship 9 coin came today.

Perfect!

Less than a month to go now until PIR. Can't wait to give this to my son.

Thanks for a great all-around shopping experience, Craig.

Jeff
Just to clarify, I don't sell these coin. I just design them and write the story behind them. However, this website does get a portion of the profit from PIRGifts to maintain this website. So please pass it on to your fellow parents about how much you like the coin. I'd love to see more of these sold so I can add more bandwidth here...

I almost have the USS Kennedy info sheets done. I have chapter 1 thru 3 done, and chapter 4 is almost done. You will find chapter 1 thru 3 in an attachment in the 1st post....

Hello Craig: My grandson, Paul, has been in now for 2 years. He has a very nice collection of 'coins' that are building. Any chance there might be one for the USS Marvin G. Shields - Ship 13 which was his 'ship' while at Great Lakes. Thank you, Craig, for all the time and effort you devote to all of us.

Originally, I didn't plan on doing that one. But, because of Air Conditioning problems in the USS Chicago Ship-7, they moved a bunch of sailors to the USS Marvin Shields Ship-13.

I don't make the decisions on which coins get done. All I do is design them and make the story about them. PIRGift.com is the ones who have the final authority on what gets done and when they post them on Ebay.

I will suggest to them that the USS Marvin Shields should get bumped up the list since they are having problems with the USS Chicago....

Thank you very much, Craig. The 'Shields' coin would really be neat for him to have. Memories of the beginning! I'll be on the lookout in the future.

I loved reading Chapter 4 of the USS Triton Coin and can't wait for Chapter 4 for the USS Kennedy.

Chapter 4 really tells the story of each coin I think! Great job on them Craig!!

I tell you, I get so tired after work that I always write the stuff on the weekend. I enjoy telling the story that most people never knew about.

The only reason Chapter 1 thru 3 got done so quick is because it's all generic info. Like you said, chapter 4 tells the entire story....

Connie,
The Shields was not used for over 2 years, and I planned of not doing it. However, they just reopened it. So I will be doing that ship now....
