Former Naval Aircrewman wants to ask a question for my son
I have a question, I just found this site reminiscing about the old days I was in Aircrew class 9133 and was what was then called and Aviation Anti-Submarine warfare specialist Acoustic SS2 P3Update 3. My son was asking about it and I couldn't tell him what they are called today. My MOS as I forget what the Navy calls it now was 7841. Anyway he is thinking of joining and wanted to do what I used to. This is my first question so I hope I've got the right spot.

The VP folks flying them still use pretty much the same titles (SS2, SS3, TACCO, etc). If your son wants to do that same job, he needs to get into the AW rating and go AWO after NACCS. From there he will be assigned to a VP squadron and will be flying the P-8. /r CTT1
