Default After graduating bootcamp...

I have a couple questions. So after we graduate bootcamp, our family can bring a bag with them to give us at the airport with our phones/laptops/whatever else, but does it have to be all black to match Navy regulations? Or could it be black with a bit of yellow? Also, when my brother graduated bootcamp, he got to fly home before he went to Virginia and stay a night or two. That's when my parent's gave him some of his things for A-school. Does this happen for most people? As in, do most people get to take a day or so to collect some things while on their way to A-school?

As always, thanks for any answers you can give me!

Its highly, highly unlikely you'll go home before A School.

I've never heard of people being able to go home after graduating from Navy boot camp. I know they shipped me out to A school quickly. I'm pretty sure the bag color isn't super important as long as it's not overly flashy and fadish.

Technically, to be able to wear the backpack in uniform, it has to be all black and not have any flashy labels on it.

However, you can still carry in your hand if it doesn't meet those requirements, you just can't wear it on your back/over your body.

He/she wouldn't be able to wear the backpack after graduation anyways since everyone will be in their blues for quite awhile.
