Default Ship Duties

Quick question: When at sea, will a Nuke perform his rating's duties purely in regards to the operation of the reactors or do they also perform the duties of their conventional counterparts?

Could you be more specific?

As far as your day-to-day job you'll be doing reactor work, but everybody has maintenance, Damage Control stuff, training, collateral duties, ect. Nobody in the Navy only does specifically their rate and nothing else. There's always other stuff going on around it as well.

Sorry. Let's take an EM(N), for example. Will they do work only as it pertains to the reactor or would they also work on other parts of the ship? Let's say... some faulty wiring in the mess hall or something.

In that situation a regular EM would be doing that, not you guys. Now if said wiring maybe wasn't reactor wires but was still in your spaces? Then you might. But yea you wouldn't be responsible for the mess deck if you're part of Reactor Dept.
