Default Mixed or Black Chicks and your boot camp hair

Anybody Mixed or Black Chicks worried about their hair???

Ughh I'am spanish but have really frizzy curly hair. I don't know what to do with it.. and it's starting to drive me crazy because I leave in about 1 month. my hair is about shoulder let, so I will have to cut before I got but I don't know what else to do with it besaide cutting it to make it more managable at boot camp...

If any females out there with similar hair types have any tips or hair styles please let me know!

I know there have been a few posts about this...some say a weave is ok...but some have said they had to take it out once they got to boot anyway...my best advise is to cut it a bit shorter than regualtions say...as they WILL NOT do a good or nice job at boot!

My friend says you can just get corn rows. As long as they're short enough. I'm sure if you cut your hair and then get rows, then it'd be totally manageable.

The females in my division had cornrows. They have to be done all the way to the tips. You cannot have tails. Also do not call them cornrows. In bootcamp they are battle braids.

Im in the same boat as you. Im half Black half Filipino. I'm not planning on doing anything to it. I'll cut it before I leave, but in all honesty it's hair and it will grow back.

Exactly.
My hair was waist length. Did I want to it it? No... But it does grow back.

Really, it depends on your RDCs. Some will let you have cornrows. Some will make you take them out.

Oh ladies I'am not worried about cutting it. I cut my hair about 3 months ago and plan on cutting it again about a week before I leave.

What I'am worried about is finding the most quick and managable way to deal with it... due to the fact that I know we won't have alot of time to do much to our hair at boot camp.

Another girl in my division and myself had sew-in weaves at bootcamp. Another girl had a wig.

My personal feelings on this...its just hair..it will grow back. The most simple way to have it at boot and not have to worry about taking time to make it look good..cut it VERY Short! Wash and go! If you are ethnic and have kinky hair or partial and have very frizzy hair..the shorter the easier.
