Default FTS

Does anyone know anything solid on how FTS works and what billets are available for them?? My recruiter hasn't been much help and there really isn't too much in depth info on the web. Thanks!!

You work full-time but are assigned to a Reserve unit or squadron and get paid from the Navy Reserve fund. I'm only familiar with FTS Aircrew, who serve as loadmasters and crewchiefs on C-130s, and flight attendants on C-40s. I'm not sure if it's the same for all FTS billets, but FTS aircrewmen don't go home to local reserve centers... they get orders to wherever they're needed, just like active duty Sailors

My office is getting two FTS reservists for approximately 4-6 months to augment our manning.

When I was on my ship I had a bunch of FTS ET's, and a few other rates had FTS. Other than different advancement then regular Active Duty a lot of FTS now are going to ships to help manning issues.
