Default Bootcamp Graduation Weekend

Hi Guys! My husband is a future sailor and ships out in March 2014. I was trying to make plans for his graduation weekend since we live in Oklahoma. After graduation he will be going to "A" school in Pensacola for CTT training. Do you know if he will have the weekend free to spend with family before he has to report to Pensacola? Any information will be helpful!

He will probably fly to P-Cola Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

He'll graduate at 10am on Friday and be released on liberty around 11am and have until ~7:30pm that night before he has to be back... he'll then leave RTC for the airport between midnight and 6am Saturday morning.

Unless your A school is in Great Lakes you usually head to A school that night/next morning.

There is no Grad-n-Go for A Schools outside of Great Lakes... only NSTC and THU are Grad-n-Go and will have liberty all weekend.

So what time would those staying in GL for A-school have to report back? 7:30 as well I would imagine. ..

9:45 I think... but don't quote me on that. There's usually a 10:00 Phase I muster that you'll be expected to show up 15min early for. Liberty should start at 6:00 Sat and Sun morning.

Everyone that does NOT have an A School in Great Lakes will not have the weekend to spend with their family. They will only get that Friday and some of that Saturday if you do decide to meet your Sailor at whatever airport their flying out of. People that don't have A School in Great Lakes leave RTC the morning after graduation.

Everyone that DOES have an A School in Great Lakes gets the weekend to spend with their family, but not that much time the day of graduation bkuz they have to check into that command and all that other good stuff. But they'll have the rest of that weekend.

In GL, you will attend a liberty brief on your ship and then you can go. You have to be back at 2200. Liberty drops at 0500 Saturday and Sunday.
