Why your contract and transcripts? There's no reason to bring them and that's just extra paper taking up space in your wallet. And I think it's highly recommended that you bring COPIES of your birth cert. and SS card rather than the originals.

Check the RTC website bootcamp.navy.mil. The official list is at http://bootcamp.navy.mil/pdfs/Required_Checklist.pdf . According to this, you don't need the transcripts or contract. They say "Copies of Dependents Birth Certificate (if applicable)". I think sometimes in military parlance a spouse is a dependent. I think they mean children here, but you might want to ask someone who would know.

Spouse too so you can enroll them in DEERS.
(though I think they can with a POA, but I'm not sure the details)
