Default Failing the Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA)

In boot camp, you will do the Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) 3 times. You can fail the 1st two, but to graduate boot camp, you must pass the 3rd test.
It is required to pass the third test.

You will continue to do semi-annual (every 6 months) PFA test. However, it the field/fleet the rules are tough. If you fail, it will get documented in your record. If you get 3 failures within a 4 year period, then you will be discharged from the Navy.

It's a tough rule, but you need to make sure you never get to that point. For more info, please look at this Power Point slide show.
