Default A school ????? Please help

Hi I have a question for anyone willing to help. My son is set to graduate from rtc on the 3rd and I was thinking of a Mac book as a graduation gift to take to A school. Would it cause any problems not having windows based software with anything he may need to access while at A school such as email or forms to download?

A personal laptop in the military will always be just that... personal. Any computer or network he's going to use in A School will be government property on a secure intranet system.

True it will only ever be used for personal use..but just understand that he cannot have it at his PIR and take it back onto the bootcamp side of the base..he can have AFTER he gets to his A school. OR, if you are able to meet up with him at the airport as they ship him off to A school he can take it with him, along with a cell phone then.
