Navy arctic sub laboratory
Does any one have any info on ASL. Like what they do or requirements? Also, is there anyone here that has served or serving on subs.

I only heard about it once when an EMCS was joking around saying "if you really screw up is the only way we'll send you to the sub base in Antarctica to pretty much make our problems go away"

I think that's the idea for the military as a whole. Because reassignment sounds a lot better then abandonment or getting thrown over board in the eyes of the media. But all joking aside from what I found your only guaranteed a coast line after you have served at a station over seas Guam Korea Japan etc. if I get station over seas then I'm goin alone my wife wants to keep the kids and herself in the contiguous US. Just wondering if ASL could be an option as well.
