Depends on the IT. Some ITs are in the rate mainly for the low key intel work. Others not so much. All the IT would have to do would be submit a package up the chain of command. I don't have too much knowledge in the area, but its no uncommon.

You guys wouldn't be doing Intel. You'd be doing the tactical comms work.
