So I finally decided on what I wanted to do in the Navy which is AW. I’m going to meps next Monday and I have some questions about the job. Basically I want to become the guy that shoots the gun on the helicopters and I noticed that all of them do a lot of swimming. Do I have to become a rescue swimmer to get the job? Also if AW is not the only job that does the shooting on the helicopter which other ones do? And do I have to have a 6 year contract to be one ?
