Getting to Charleston after PIR

My brother graduated RTC in the fall of 2010 when Corpsman A-school was right across the street. I remember us haning around until Sunday morning spending his liberty with him. My question is, how soon after the PIR on friday morning will I fly to Charleston?

Nukes left between 0100 and 0600 Saturday morning from what I recall. You'll have from about 1100-2100 Friday to spend with family before you leave Illinios.

Thanks! Boot is still months away for me, my family has already done PIR weekend for my brother and I was curious about the traveling. I'm assuming I'll have some sort of indoc that Saturday at Goose Creek.

You'll start indoc the first work day you get there. So it won't be till Monday if you arrive on the weekend.

Can anyone comment on what exactly happens when you fly out of Chicago? Does a shuttle take you to goose creek from charleston? What is that weekend like?

The navy will take care of you getting to goose creek. You won't need to worry about getting there. The weekend you get here will be a liberty weekend.
