questions about MA rate
 

I see lots of people saying they want to be MA's for whatever reason, more than likely they think its going to be a high paced awesome job, but I always see availability for MA's? Why is that, is it because people go in THINKING they want to be a MA then switch out or what? I wanted to be an MA but I have other reasons for that not because I think the job is going to be super mega awesome, so I am hoping to cross rate whenever my time comes around since my DAR was a nogo.

The MA rate is so open lately is because the Navy is trying to get rid of the ASF program on ships to allow MA's to go onto ships. Also most people join this rate to become k9 or not to go on a ship.
