Do all AW's do it even the ones that aren't gonna be in helos? Also what happens if a candidate isn't able to pass the helo dunker?

Every candidate will go through no matter what. It's an applicable skill no matter what platform you operate. Imagine if a P-3 or P-8 wen't down; don't you think it would be pertinent to know how to escape? The term "helo dunker" is just used because it looks like a Helo, but the skills apply to every aircraft. If a candidate can't pass you'll get rolled back if they think they can work with you. If you fail again or just aren't going to make it then you'll be dropped from candidate school and re-rated to something else.

It's really not that hard though. We only had one or two folks in my class that struggled with it and they were able to get the hang of it after a few tries. Don't sweat it; it's not as hard as it looks.
