BOOTCAMP WEATHER/DEP PQS
Leaving on 20120531, i know all the information word 4 word from the START Guide and physically in shape. The only thing i am curious about is the weather out at bootcamp during June and July? Is there high humidity like in New York?
Also will all the different types of aircrafts and ships be on the dep pqs? |
I can only address the weather. Yes. Warm and very humid. Lately it has been ranging in the mid 60's to 80 with in the 80's percent wise for the humidity. Prepare for stickiness.

The stickiness is something every New Yorker grows accustomed too, but the hot weather is something i can't stand.
|
As I recall ships/aircraft are not part of the PQS test, they are however on all three actual boot camp exams, so its worth it to start learning now
|
Thanks and also how many questions are on this exam because this test seems too easy to be true? I don't understand how it can only be touching 3 real topics.
|
I want to say there were like 40-50 questions on the DEP PQS Test, but just passing the test isnt going to get you promoted to E2. You will get a green stamp in your hard card at boot camp if you pass the test and your baseline PFA, however they only promote a few people. So do your best to get a 100 on the test and try to get as high of a score as you can on your PFA.

In regards to the Weather, dont worry about it, if its over a certain temperature outside you wont be doing anything but marching from the barracks to freedom hall and back. They will make sure your properly hydrated, and i believe in the summer time they also issue you sunscreen.

Thanks for all the info. I never knew they only promote a few even if alot pass the test. Thanks again Snipes
