Will I be able to ship out?

Okay... I broke my identification card in half a while back and taped it back together with clear scotch tape and been using it like that ever since. About a month ago my chief and the lpo of my recruiting district told me I HAVE to get a new I.D. Card by my ship date or I wouldn't be able to ship out or possibly get discharged. I went ahead and order a new one like my chief told me to a few days later and it has not arrived!! It's going on 3weeks and still nothing!!!

I still have the receipt and my old taped up I.D. But that's it.. It said on the receipt to "call if it doesn't arrive within 15days". I did that and no answer.

I ship out Tuesday!

Should I be worried? What's gonna happen if I don't get a I.D.? Will I get discharged? Someone enlighten me please.

Thanks.

Your government ID? Go to DMV tomorrow and talk to them in person. They may be able to print it for you on the spot.

Do you think I should take my contract up there when I go to the DMV?

And do you think I will get discharged?

You can't get n a plane without a government ID. TSA may or may not accept your receipt. If you can't fly to Great Lakes, you can't fulfill your contract.

I don't think your contract will help at DMV, but it won't hurt.

Thanks. I'll try to get them to issue me one tomorrow.
