Cars at DLI?

Hi everyone,

I ship 20161004 for boot camp and was wondering if I'll be able to have my car during A school? I know in general people are not allowed to have cars in A school, but with schooling being longer (as long as you're not assigned Spanish) are they lenient about it?

Unfortunately, I have had a car with a note for two years now and would at least like to have it with me if possible.

Thanks in advance!

You're allowed to have a car at DLI, but you can't use it during school hours if you're IET. Also the parking situation was bad and getting worse when I graduated because they started building a chow hall in the middle of the biggest parking lot on base . . .

I left there last week, parking is horrific during the day, but from 3-6ish it's not bad near the barracks (because people go or for dinner, errands, etc. But its virtually impossible to find parking after 7 during the week. Best bet is to not go anywhere during the week anyway because of the workload but you can have your car. And don't rely on the police to actually check the lots that are resident specific because they don't
