AT or AE
Hey so I signed on as an AV and had a few questions.
When do you find out whether you get AT-O AT-I or AE? Do you actually get to choose or is it one of those things where they tell you which one you got and that's the end of it? What's A school like for each rate and about how long is it? Will I more than likely end up getting C school either one I get? Can I get stationed about anywhere with these rates or are there only a few opportunities? Sorry, well I guess it was more than a few. LOL |
You will find out towards the end of boot camp when you get access to your NSIPs account and your orders. ATI is the longest A school of the 3, around 6-7 months, ATO and AE clocks in around 2-4 months if I remember right. About C school, that's just a crap shoot, depends on your detailer, depends on your command, blah blah.
ATs can be pretty much anywhere, besides the cool places like Italy. ATOs will be with squadrons, ATIs will be on carriers and LHDs and FRCs or AIMD. |
Which of the 3 rates do you recommend?

I'm aware, I honestly don't mind either one.
