Difference between CTR, CTM, and CTN?

My CTM contract has guaranteed a spot for me in A school right after boot camp. Although I really like the idea of the broad range of things a CTM can do, Id like to go to college to earn a degree. My recruiter was telling me about ratings where people can "roll in" to another rate such as going from CTM to CTN or CTR. I like the idea of hacking in both CTN and CTR.

What Im wondering is if I rolled into a different rate, what am I letting go of as a CTM? What are the pros of being a CTR or CTN? Whats really the difference between CTR and CTN?

Also, if someone could give me a detailed idea of what a CTM does and what the possibilities are as one, that would be appreciated!

I asked this question when I depped in (but it was between CTM and CTN/IT) and basically CTMs will be a "jack of all trades" in this whole field whereas CTNs are hackers/cyber security experts and ITs are like local LAN administrators.

CTR I didn't study up on myself but signals intelligence is the description.

I was looking up manning levels and community overviews when I was wanting to switch to CTN and I saw something like "CTMs in years 2011, etc, etc (earlier years) can change over to CTN....contact name here for information..." You have to have been in a few years to switch.
