Tips for talking with a recruiter.

Im currently going to be a junior in the upcoming year, and i believe this is usually the time where students take the ASVAB. Im thinking of taking it my junior year, and i haven't talked to a recruiter yet because im still deciding if i really want to go the NAVY but im almost sure i will be. However, when i do see a recruiter how should i present myself and what should i say? Also, im not in my school's ROTC, so i have not one clue of how to greet an officer or a recruiter. Anyways, any tips on what i should say, ask, or maybe your first experiences talking with a recruiter. Thank you. :) and PS, i want to be a Hospital Corpsman or an Operations Specialist.

You're not going to run into an officer most likely. But since you're currently a civilian take this opportunity to act like a civilian. Because once you're in everything changes. Haha! Just wear casual clothes, be polite, and ask all of your questions. Then come back here with their answers and we'll tell you if they're lying. Since you're young I'd recommend taking a parent with you. That way your parents can ask any questions they may have. Other than that it's usually a pretty laid-back experience. Don't think of it as a job interview. That's what boot camp is - a two month long interview. It's the recruiter's job to get you in the door. They'll be very nice and accommodating in most cases.

Be polite, be professional, and do your research beforehand. Have specific things you want to look at and come in with a few questions.
