How often did you run?

We started SUPER gradual with cardio. The first thing was a 5 minute sustained run, then 8, then 12, then 15, 17, then up to 25. Also, a pride run two days before we graduated (outside).

Other than sustained runs, we ran once a week on top of that either a Speed run (sprint/walk intervals) and shuttle runs, (2-3 laps, 2 exercises and then 2 laps, 2 exercises, etc. for 10-12 laps total)

and of course, there PT tests!

I got FC! Kind of wanted ET, but you dont get to choose, the navy chooses for you in AECF.

I'm also going as AECF.
When do they let you know if you get ET or FC?

FC is a badass rate, shipmate. You'll enjoy it!! Who doesn't like shooting 5 inch guns, CIWS, or tomahawks!?

I'm an AECF as well! (Want ET too)

I do have a few questions!

When do you plan to bring in your personal items?
(Cellphone, laptop, notebooks, etc) I understand we won't have much liberty initially, but being AECF at Great Lakes for 12+ months.... Lol I just want to know when I should ship my personal belongings to myself.

Is it possible to send a chit requesting an ET priority if available? (I read somewhere on Reddit it was possible under AECF)

In boot or after boot, are you allowed for "seconds" in meals? Can you take some with you (to go, box it up)? Do you get access to a gym(resistance training) during boot and after? Is it unlimited hours (like 24hr fitness)?

What was the most difficult aspect of bootcamp for you?
If you enjoyed bootcamp, what was it that you enjoyed?
Did the mustard gas hold true to its reputation?
If you can give 2 tips to your past self before departing to Great Lakes, what would they be?

In boot, get what you want on the first go. After boot you're back to being a regular person again haha

Do so under penalty of death (don't be the guy hiding food; it always gets found).

Negative. In boot, you'll do the PT your RDC tells you to do and when they tell you to do it. After boot though, what you do on your time is on you.

What I did was this, I had my wife and parents bring up a small backpack with what i felt were "essential" items. (laptop, phone/chargers, boxers, socks, hygiene products and some other small things. They can give you these items a couple hours after graduation. My graduation ended at 1130, i was checked in across the street by 1330, and by 1400 I was out on liberty. I returned to my barracks at 2130 that night and unpacked all my things.

As far as a chit goes....no. You get what you get. You'll log into NSIPS one day ( pretty sure it is week 6 of training) and that's when you can find out your rate.

My two tips would probably be:
SHUT THE **** UP. And done be afraid to tell everyone else to shut the **** up, either. Do exactly as you're told WHEN you are told to and your life will be easy as pie, providing you're in decent shape.

Which brings me to my next point, if you can easily run a 12:00 1.5 mile, do 60+ pushups and 60+ sit ups, youll be fine! (but the more you can do, the EASIER boot camp will be when you get ITE'd)
