Quick Question

I've been looking into being an IT for a little while now and have gotten the gist of what's going on but I'd like to know what happens after A School specifically.

I understand that with the needs of the navy they'll place me where they need me but in the IT rating's sea/shore rotations it is set as 4/3 years. So after A School will I be set on a ship or is it just based on where they need me?

You really just answered your own question. As an IT, there are many places you can be stationed. It all just depends on what billets they have.
