okay guys so im leaving april 28 2015 for basic

questions are as follows

while at A school can i move my wife and son up to where i will be at? (will the navy pay for it or how does that even work)

how does moving work?

do i choose ET or FC or is it based on the needs of the navy?

how long is training for those rates and what in the heck is ATT?

mostly what is the process from the day i graduate basic to the day i graduate my schools what happens next?

The navy will move your family if your school is longer than 6 months.

FC/ET depends on needs of the navy.

As either an ET or FC you will be allowed to move your family up to Great Lakes with you. I am currently here in Great Lakes as an ET. In boot camp the Navy chose which rate I was going to be and I did not find out until I got my orders which is almost the last week of boot camp. Both schools are long. ET schooling is longer however FCs tend to stay in Great Lakes for a longer time. There are some that have been here for over three months after completing A school. ATT school consists of 11 weeks for ETs and 10 weeks for FCs. It is mostly learning the very basics of electronics and circuitry. The A school for FCs last around 12 weeks and ETs last around 19 weeks. After A school you will most likely go to C school and unfortunately I dont know where or how long those are.
