Hey everyone!

New here. I'm not a depper, yet.

I plan on losing a lot of weight before basic... I'm really overweight. :nono:

So I'm starting training on Monday to get into tip-top shape. I need to lose about 90 pounds. I'm at 235, and a 5'3 female. Yeah, super overweight. Does anyone have any "navy based" work out plans?

Also, in basic... when a girl gets their monthly friend, do the RDCs let you take frequent bathroom breaks?

I don't know anything about basic because I haven't been there yet...

but as far as losing weight...

I had to lose about 15 pounds and I just ran... and ran... and ran... and drank water all day... I also did a juice diet... No not like boxed juices but actually using a juicer... and make sure you do more veggies than fruits.

But make sure when doing all these things, don't stop at all, go all out, even when you feel you can't anymore... just go and do these things every single day anytime you have available.

There are a lot of threads on here about the monthly topic. Most people say it's less frequent because of the stress, but they also have all the supplies you'll need during that time. Don't worry about it. Stay motivated and the weight will fall off!

For me, the fastest way to lose weight was through swimming every morning.
I started swimming to get ready for bootcamp (even though I'm still not even a desperate yet :p) and seriously lost about 10 lbs in 2weeks

Also, if you're serious about getting in shape & eating healthy, don't wait until a Monday to start exercising & eating healthy. There's no time like the present, start today with home exercises and throw out any soda/junk food in the house. Good luck on your journey.

Everyone is probably sick of me posting this link, but...

http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/

USE THIS CALCULATOR!!! You can lose weight in an easy, enjoyable, and safe way that isn't this wreckless crash dieting like "only eat 3 apples for 3 days straight" or something like that.

Do cardio 3 days a week and strength train 3 days a week, then take a rest day. Drink plenty of water.

Like they all said above. Also cut out all the bad foods and I mean all of them. Fruits and vegetables are going to become your best friend. I needed to lose 15 lbs and changing my diet helped extremely. It also gave me the energy to pass my limits during my workouts and runs.

There's also this app called NOFFS (Navy Operational Fitness & Fueling Services). It contains workouts that actual sailors do when they're not able to go to the gym or on a ship and just want to work out in their room. I started it Monday and it focuses on a lot of core training and building your stamina.

You will drink so much water during boot camp that you will need frequent bathroom breaks all the time. Our rdcs used to say we had hamster bladders.
