Does a school count as part of your sea duty? Im iin AECF and I know you first 4 years are sea duty...

Your first tour will probably be sea duty, but that's not set in stone. A tour is typically 36 months, so you won't spend a full four years there most likely.

"A" School does not count as duty, you're still being trained.

ET first tour is 4 years and FC is 5 years of sea duty. And A and C school doesn't count. Your sea duty starts the first day you report to your command.

So does my first 4 years of service start after training or during?

It starts the first day you report to your ship which is after training.

So I enlisted for 6 years but its more like 7 1/2. Including training.

Your training is counted toward your 6 years active-duty, but not your 4 years sea duty... so you won't have to do extra time active-duty, but you won't get shore duty until near the ed of your enlistment. Technically, you enlisted for 8 years... everyone does. But only 6 of those are active duty, and the remaining 2 are Inactive Ready Reserve.

I don't think that is correct. Your enlistment begins the day you swear in and ship to RTC as per your contract.

I totally misread that thought it said sea duty.
