Ive been slacking on working out lately and fear my PFA's may not be up to par. Any pointers or hints to help me? i know the obvious stuff like working out but i mean when i actually start at RTC.

Nothing prepares you best for your PFAs than to keep yourslef fit consistently while in DEP. It's never too late to start up again!

The obvious stuff like working out is really the best thing to do and the only thing that can help you. Do push ups, sit ups, and run... a lot. Also, try taking practice PFA's on your own just like they will be in basic, that will give you an idea of where you are and what you need to focus on improving.

Is it only 1 mile in 12minutes?

1.5 miles if I'm correct.

It is 1.5 miles, you are correct. But I think they switched up to standards on this. Don't quote me on this, but I think the lengthened the amount of time for the run. But I'm not entirely sure.

I read somewhere it depends on your age group what the minimums are?

The run is still the navy standard of 1.5 miles.

It is based on age. Here is a link to the current standards
